As a husband and wife team they recognized early on that they truly enjoyed collaborating together in an effort to make their lives fulfilling. They also share a love of food so that was a bonus! So, by combining their talents, passion and creativity, Giacomo’s Gourmet Foods was born in 2007. The best part of creating their business is they both bring something unique to the table, essential components necessary to ensure their specialty food business not only succeeds, but thrives.

Jim’s vast culinary experience, sophisticated palate and knack for combining just the right ingredients has provided a great platform to experiment with bold flavors resulting in exciting recipes. Growing up in a big Italian family where Sunday dinner at Nonna’s was something to look forward to, it was clear that cooking with love can unite a family. The familiar smells trailing from her kitchen, abundant food at the table, and extra place set just in case company stopped by reminded them all that here, you were home.

Laurie’s love of baking started as a very young child under the watchful eye of her Mom. Every Christmas, dozens upon dozens of cookies of all shapes, sizes and flavors were baked, beautifully packaged and given as gifts to family friends, teachers and co-workers. This special tradition continues through Giacomo’s Gourmet Foods and has morphed into candy making as well. This, in addition to her background in Customer Service and Marketing, balances out their business model and that means they put their customers first.
